Upgrade of accelerator system with state of the art Solid State technology.

The Federal Office of Metrology (METAS) in Bern, Switzerland, has ordered Solid State modulators from Scandinova. The new modulators will replace a PFN/Thyratron modulator system installed in an accelerator system (M22) used at METAS. The order also includes integration and adaptations of the modulators to the existing accelerator system. Mikael Lindholm, President and CEO, Scandinova Systems: - “We appreciate that METAS has selected Scandinova as supplier for this upgrade project of their accelerator system. Our modular and compact system design was useful and important in order to offer METAS a fully compatible modulator system and a seamless integration to their existing accelerator system. Furthermore we could offer METAS new features that were not able to realize with PFN/Thyratron technology. The accelerator system at METAS is used for checks of therapeutic dosimeters intended for use with high energy radiation systems
